Can your child see a mile and fail in reading and sports ?
Hello How To Learn.com Friend, Recently you took the Eye-Q Reading Inventory and may have discovered that you or your child has some visual or perceptual problems which make reading difficult. If your child's single screening is the eye chart, this is not related to reading at all. An eye chart only tells you whether you can see a letter of 3/8 inches high from 20 feet away. Of course, no one reads their books from 20 feet away while covering one eye :):):) Here are some resources for you to check your child's eyesight and vision thoroughly, in order to rule out any roadblocks to reading suceess. 1. Check http://www.covd.org or http://www.oep.org to find a doctor who specilizes in learning related vision exams 3. If you have a child under 12 months, now is the time to start insuring that your child has great eyesight and vision to become a terrific reader. Former President Jimmy Carter is the national spokesperson for this organization and his grandson suffered from undiagnosed lazy eye, which could have been caught much earlier and prevented many problems later.
